Coming off their bye week, RG3 lead the Redskins to a 31-6 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday as he threw 4 touchdown passes. He completed 14 of 15 attempts, and had a touchdown pass in each quarter of the game. RG3 threw for a total for 200 yards, and ran for 85 yards on 11 carries. Aldrick Robinson, Logan Paulsen, Santan Moss, and Darrel Young each had a touchdown for the Redskins, as they snapped their three-game losing streak, before their traditional thanksgiving game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Redskins defense that has been disappointing for most of the season forced four sacks in the game, and got three takeaways. DeAngelo Hall intercepted a throw by Rookie QB Nick Foles who was standing in for Michael Vick who suffered a concussion in last week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Nick Foles only managed to complete 21 of 46 passes for 204 yards, and threw two interceptions as the eagles fell to 3-7. Nick’s second drive with the Eagles also lead to an interception, and the Eagles turned over the ball over three times, and committed nine penalties.
The Eagles were unable to score a touchdown in today’s game, and had their worst loss of the season. Tonight’s loss definitely makes coach Andy Reid’s future with the Eagles very questionable, as he may not stay as the coach till the end of the season.
With tonight’s win, the Redskins improve to a 4-6 record and are just behind the NFC East leaders (New York Giant), and they actually have a shot contending for division lead and the playoffs.
