Week 7: Redskins vs. NY Giants

The Redskins beat last year’s Super Bowl winner in the opening game last season, and although that was a year ago, and the Giants have improved greatly since then, the Redskins will go into today’s game with some confidence knowing that they at least have a chance to come out with a win.

The Giants are currently 0-2 in the NFC East, and this is a must win game for them to ensure they take control of the NFC east.

WR Pierre Garcon will remain inactive in week 7 as he didn’t train with the team this week, still suffering from a toe injury he has been nursing since the beginning of the season. Cornerback Cedric Griffin who had been inactive in the last three games due a back injury is expected back, and other inactive players include backup QB Rex Grossman, safety Brandon Meriweather, DE Doug Worthington, CB Adam Jones, and two guards Josh LeRibeaus and Adam Gettis.

A win in today’s game will help the Redskins become the leading team in their division, improving their record against NFC opponents this season to 4-2.
