The Redskins fought hard this past Sunday, but just could not get the job done against a superior Cincinnati Bengals team. Their defense looked sloppy throughout the game and could not stop Andy Dalton from moving the ball up and down the field. They will need another breakout performance from Robert Griffin III if they wish to keep it close against the Buccaneers this week.
Luckily for the Redskins, Tampa Bay has not been able to put a great deal of points on the board this year, so their defense should not look as bad as last week. They will need to stay sharp, however, because the Bucs can certainly surpass you when the ball is in Josh Freeman’s hands. The Washington D will have to stay active on Sunday if they do not wish to get embarrassed again.
Moving forward, quarterback RG3 must stay playing at the level he has been if this team wants to stay afloat in the this game as well as in the NFC East. He has been their rock the entire season and needs to stay that way if he does not want his team to implode. With multiple injuries on offense and a defense that simply cannot get the job done, Griffin has been the only constant on the team this entire year. He is keeping their spirits high even if they have lost the last two games they’ve played. They need to turn it around this week in Tampa Bay if they want to even have a chance of making the playoffs.
The NFL odds have Washington at +3 this week against the Buccaneers. This should be a relatively easy spread to cover, but the team needs the leadership of Robert Griffin III if they want to come out of this game with a win.
