The Redskins have announced what we have known for months since the Redskins mortgaged their future to take the player they expect to be their savior, Robert Griffin III. Robert Griffin III is an explosive QB from Baylor, a Heisman Trophy winner, and touted as being a young man with the potential to be an elite QB in the NFL for years to come. Many people questioned what was given up in order to be able to draft him, but at this point, let’s not muddy the celebration.

Redskins nation, stop looking in the past and let’s look ahead to the future, we finally have a QB that we expect to be our franchise QB for the next decade. We hope to one day be like the New York Giants, who had been the victim of the media blasting their trade for Eli Manning, and be able to refer to the Lombardi trophies that this trade brings to the Washington Redskins.
