Mike Shanahan decided it was time to mix things up again and he renamed Rex Grossman as the starting QB for the Washington Redskins on the 11/13/2011 game against the 1-7 (now 2-7) Miami Dolphins. Not to the surprise of many people, it didn’t change much, and Grossman went right back to his usual ways of not converting drives into touchdowns and throwing interceptions. The one bright spot on offense for the Washington Redskins came from the rookie out of the University of Miami, Leonard Hankerson. Hankerson had 8 receptions for a total of 106 yards, but just like any other Redskins player that has done well this season, he left with a hip injury. However, he is expected to play next week. It’s just sad to see a season that originally looked promising at 3-1 has fallen so quickly. This was was 5th straight loss, and the Redskins are now 3-6.
Next week the Redskins host the Dallas Cowboys, can Redskins fans at least hold out hope that the team will show up to give their division rivals a tough game at least? Let’s hope, and I hope you keep checking back with this Washington Redskins blog for all analysis and opinions you need!
